[email protected]

Every message is read and answered. To get a useful reply on the first try, say which iPhone or iPad you are on, which version of iOS it is running, the app version from Settings under About, and what you were doing when it went wrong. If a report came out looking incorrect, attach it: it is a PDF, and it contains only what you already meant to share with an inspector.

We cannot see your records. There is no account, no server and no support console on our side, so nothing can be looked up or fixed remotely. Everything below is something you do on the device.

Buying, restoring and cancelling

I paid, but the app still shows the free limits

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore purchases. That asks the App Store for your entitlement again, which is usually all that is needed after reinstalling the app or moving to a new device. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that bought the subscription.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then ToolboxLog Pro, and cancel there. Apple’s own instructions are here. Deleting the app does not cancel anything. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next renewal.

Will cancelling take my records away?

No. Every meeting you have already signed stays on the device, stays viewable and stays shareable, whether you subscribe or not. The free tier limits how many new signed meetings (3) and crew members (8) you create, and nothing else.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds go through Apple, since Apple takes the payment. Use reportaproblem.apple.com. Tell us as well if something about the app caused it, because that is usually a bug we would want to fix.

Your records

Where are they kept?

On the device that made them, in the app’s own storage, and in your iCloud device backup if you have one turned on. Nothing is uploaded to us, so a phone that is lost without a backup takes its records with it.

How do I keep my own copies?

In Settings there are two tools. Export all records writes every signed report into a single zip of PDFs you can save to Files, email or AirDrop, and it works with no signal. Under Automatic backup you can pick a folder, such as one in iCloud Drive, and the app will keep a rolling copy there: the same zip, plus a data file that can restore the records onto another iPhone.

I have a new phone

Restoring the new phone from an iCloud or Mac backup of the old one brings the records with it. Failing that, use Restore from a backup file in Settings and pick a backup file the app wrote earlier. A file that is not a ToolboxLog backup, or one written by a newer version of the app, is refused rather than half-read, and a damaged file changes nothing on the device.

The app warns me before I delete a record

That is the retention notice for the state you selected. California requires documentation of safety training be kept at least one year, Washington requires meeting minutes be kept at least one year, and Oregon requires the meeting record be kept three years. The notice names the section it comes from so you can read the rule yourself. It describes the cited rule; it is not legal advice, and deleting cannot be undone.

Using it on the job

Reading a talk in Spanish

All 132 talks exist in full in English and Spanish. Switch the reading language on the talk itself or in the Run a meeting screen; the interface of the phone can stay in English. The report records which language the meeting was actually read in.

Getting my logo onto the report

Settings, then the company profile: name, address and logo. The logo prints at the top of every report for ToolboxLog Pro subscribers; without it, the report carries an unbranded ToolboxLog watermark instead.

Adding the whole crew at once

The Crew tab can import a list rather than making you type each name. Duplicates that look like somebody already on the roster are flagged before anything is added, so an import cannot quietly create two of the same person.

Nobody can sign, or the pad will not take a signature

The signature pad wants a finger on the sheet, not a tap. If a worker is not present, use Skip rather than signing for them: a record that shows who did not sign is worth more than one that pretends everybody did.

What ToolboxLog does not do

It is worth saying plainly, because it saves an email. ToolboxLog does not produce the OSHA 300 Log, the annual summary or the 301 form that 29 CFR 1904 requires of most employers, and it does not decide which cases are recordable. Reporting a fatality within 8 hours, or an in-patient hospitalisation, amputation or loss of an eye within 24 hours, under 29 CFR 1904.39, is a separate duty and a phone call, not a form in this app. There is no Android version, no web version and no multi-device sync; records live on the device that made them, by design.

Reporting a bug or asking for a feature

Same address: [email protected]. Bugs that affect a signed record get looked at first. If you can describe what you expected the document to say and what it said instead, that is usually enough to reproduce it.
